I have an idea for a web based business that is fairly unique, like Twitter (unique like Twitter is unique, not that THIS business is like Twitter). Site development will be more intricate then pretty pictures and shopping carts, for example will need to store registering users sorting them with the incorporation of a zip code database and other advanced features, all well beyond my ability to write. How do I find a company that can provide me with a working model I can take to investors at either an affordable price or for a piece of the pie?
While I certainly appreciate the answers that have been given, I should clarify that I really need a professional to work on this. Those registering will be providing information like email and cell phone number and I need that information to be as secure as possible, something my limited skills would be woefully lacking to offer. In addition, to expand a bit more on the features, it would need to have a feature that in addition to registrants when one individual takes a certain action a message will be sent to either the email or cell phone of registrants within a given distance of the zip code provided. Its very complicated for a novice such as myself. But thank you for trying, I hope someone has a suggestion on finding a qualified professional.

OK so Coach Leach suspends a player for lashing out on twitter and a WR from the Jets was benched for a twitter post about his lack of playing time…(take a quick look at the story below) What is your opinion on twitter and sports? Personally I think twitter is one of the most idiotic sites ever to be created but that is my opinion…I am sure a lot of you out there use it but to each their own…Should players be allowed or even left alone to do what they please and express themselves? I do think that team business should be left out of social networking sites though. Thanks for the opinions.
