Okay, so I am 13 years old in case anyone was wondering. So my mom was raped when she was 13 by a guy who was 18 who went to her school (she’s 39 years old now) and I know a lot about him (I researched and everything) so now she found out 4 years ago when we moved to the home we currently live in now that he lives a mile away…so she wanted to move but my step dad didn’t want to since we had just bought the house. SO then the guy who raped her ended up being the landscaper for out backyard, and she had to cancel all of it but anyways now she ran into him at a bank and now she won’t leave the house and my mom has a lot of problems caused by that and by my father not wanting me when I was born and things that have happened which have made her who she is today (scared, home 24/7, all in my business & has to know all my passwords to everything) she’s super protective over me, and she thinks I’m a bad kid and that I’m out doing bad things when I’m really not… and she has a myspace with a fake picture that’s not her and in all her status’s on her twitter she posts that she’s out having fun and all these status’s that she’s on a bike trail and just doing stuff when really she just sits at home…all day on her laptop hiding behind her fake profiles. She’s gained a lot of weight in the past 10 years so she’s self conscience about herself and I was just curious why she would do that and she spys on my facebook and asks me about everything, and she never listens to me when I try to talk to her, she cusses me out a LOT, and recently she’s become worse. I don’t know what to do, I’m almost 14 but I still have 4 more years of this and she tells me all the time she hates me, and that she’s embarrassed I’m her child. We’re moving soon to a new house away from her old rapist but she skipped school and got drunk and then the guy raped her so she’s not all that innocent…. she was only 13 when she did it too. But her problems have effected the way she’s raised me. As a child growing up, I remember every birthday all I wished for was that my mom would love me and actually hug me and say she cared about me. But she lied to me for 9 years saying my step dad was my father then now I’m banned from seeing my father (I met him once when I was at the age of 12) and I don’t get to hangout with friends often because she doesn’t like to leave the house (she complains everyday after she picks me up that I should be greatful she actually takes time to pick me up from school) Time from what? Being at home in her pajamas all day on her laptop? My step dad doesn’t have any say in any decision they make in their "marriage" when he pays for everything, and when he gets home from work she goes on and on and on about her drama (which is nothing) and he doesn’t like to live like this. She nags me and my step dad constantly and screams at us, and she’s fine to be around for a little while but then she’s your worst nightmare. She is so in my business (which every mom should be a little) but she goes to the extreme and she even hacked into my best friend’s facebook to see my facebook profile! My friend thinks my mom’s crazy now, and I’m not sure what to do….she’s VERY hard to talk to about things. (I know she has several mental illnesses, as my counselor told me and she recommended me a book called trapped in a mirror to understand how my mother is which I read). But, just know if you’re going to suggest that I talk to her…she won’t admit she has a problem and she lied about having fake pictures on her twitter and then screamed at me for "spying on her" SO what should I do? I think I should just stick it out until I’m 18 and just continue getting good grades so I can get a scholarship but does anyone have any other suggestions? It has become MUCH MUCH worse even this past month to where she’s become paraniod that everyone is out to get her (she’s always been that way) yet she convinces herself she’s perfect (she says so) what to do? Please help.

And we did counseling for a while 2 years ago together but she wouldn’t come with me anymore, so now I just go alone.
Someone tried to break into our home 2 nights ago, and I was awake to hear it (my mom and step dad were asleep) I think it was her rapist because he drives by our house occasionally. I feel like I need to stay up until 3am to make sure I can go to sleep and have nothing happen (him break in) someone has attempted to (we are almost certain it’s him) so I’m not sure why my mom isn’t more concerned than she is. I receive good grades, but with the stress I have through her it’s complex to concentrate during exams/tests/homework. Her problems become my problems, and so on. I don’t want it to be like that, and when I try to discuss counseling together, or discuss my feelings towards her not ever showing she loves me she either laughs, or she says that I’m just upset about my father and I am taking it out on her. Which isn’t true, but she won’t believe that.

Should i deactivate my Facebook account for awhile?
Anymore, i kind of hate how often i get on facebook or how jealous it makes me at times, or all the drama it causes. I feel like with twitter you aren’t in everyone’s business as much. What do you think i should do?
Is this weird? Someone requested to "follow" me on twitter. Is it ok, to ask them where I know them from?
A guy, through his small business name requested to follow me on twitter. We both live in SF. When he requested to follow me, twitter told me that he found me through my email address. Knowing that he has my email address, I am curious if I know him personally, and want to accept his request, but send an email saying this:
"Hey, thanks for your request. I’m curious, do I know you personally?"
Is that weird? Will he think I’m making a pass at him?
How long does it normally take twitter to act on spam reports?
So I reported someone for spamming last night and this morning the account is gone, nowhere to be seen. Does twitter normally act this fast? Or did the person just delete the account on their own? I’m kind of regretting reporting them now and am hoping the account wasn’t disabled because of me. And yes they were genuinely spamming/promoting their business.

H.R. 3962, the "Affordable Health Care for America Act" has been introduced–all 1990 pages of it. This gargantuan beast contains thirteen new tax hikes. Here they all are, with description and page number (PDF version):

Employer Mandate Excise Tax (Page 275): If an employer does not pay 72.5 percent of a single employee’s health premium (65 percent of a family employee), the employer must pay an excise tax equal to 8 percent of average wages. Small employers (measured by payroll size) have smaller payroll tax rates of 0 percent (<0,000), 2 percent (0,000-5,000), 4 percent (5,000-0,000), and 6 percent (0,000-0,000).
Individual Mandate Surtax (Page 296): If an individual fails to obtain qualifying coverage, he must pay an income surtax equal to the lesser of 2.5 percent of modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) or the average premium. MAGI adds back in the foreign earned income exclusion and municipal bond interest.
Medicine Cabinet Tax (Page 324): Non-prescription medications would no longer be able to be purchased from health savings accounts (HSAs), flexible spending accounts (FSAs), or health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs). Insulin excepted.
Cap on FSAs (Page 325): FSAs would face an annual cap of 00 (currently uncapped).
Increased Additional Tax on Non-Qualified HSA Distributions (Page 326): Non-qualified distributions from HSAs would face an additional tax of 20 percent (current law is 10 percent). This disadvantages HSAs relative to other tax-free accounts (e.g. IRAs, 401(k)s, 529 plans, etc.)
Denial of Tax Deduction for Employer Health Plans Coordinating with Medicare Part D (Page 327): This would further erode private sector participation in delivery of Medicare services.
Surtax on Individuals and Small Businesses (Page 336): Imposes an income surtax of 5.4 percent on MAGI over 0,000 ( million married filing jointly). MAGI adds back in the itemized deduction for margin loan interest. This would raise the top marginal tax rate in 2011 from 39.6 percent under current law to 45 percent—a new effective top rate.
Excise Tax on Medical Devices (Page 339): Imposes a new excise tax on medical device manufacturers equal to 2.5 percent of the wholesale price. It excludes retail sales and unspecified medical devices sold to the general public.
Corporate 1099-MISC Information Reporting (Page 344): Requires that 1099-MISC forms be issued to corporations as well as persons for trade or business payments. Current law limits to just persons for small business compliance complexity reasons. Also expands reporting to exchanges of property.
Delay in Worldwide Allocation of Interest (Page 345): Delays for nine years the worldwide allocation of interest, a corporate tax relief provision from the American Jobs Creation Act
Limitation on Tax Treaty Benefits for Certain Payments (Page 346): Increases taxes on U.S. employers with overseas operations looking to avoid double taxation of earnings.
Codification of the “Economic Substance Doctrine” (Page 349): Empowers the IRS to disallow a perfectly legal tax deduction or other tax relief merely because the IRS deems that the motive of the taxpayer was not primarily business-related.
Application of “More Likely Than Not” Rule (Page 357): Publicly-traded partnerships and corporations with annual gross receipts in excess of 0 million have raised standards on penalties. If there is a tax underpayment by these taxpayers, they must be able to prove that the estimated tax paid would have more likely than not been sufficient to cover final tax liability.

Help please ? He acts obsessed ?
So I met this guy about four months ago, we exchanged numbers because we wanted to be FRIENDS, and we got kinda close. I have a boyfriend, he’s single but he likes someone I know, and we’re both "bestfriends". He’s ALWAYS in my business. If I post something on twitter like "**** this." I get a text from him 5 seconds later "what’s wrong bestfriend?" I usually say "nothing it’s fine" and he’s like "No. Tell me. I’m not leaving you." I mean, that’s great, he’s a good friend, but it’s almost obsessive. He gets my tweets sent to his phone, he gets my facebook statuses sent to his phone.. I’ll post something like "mallll (:" before I go to the mall and then he’ll be texting me "So you’re at the mall? I should come see you" when I didn’t even tell him I’m at the mall. And if I don’t text him back for like 30 minutes, he’ll send me another text "It makes me sad when you don’t text me back 
What else could you possibly be doing?" And I even tried completely distancing myself from him, one-word texts, sometimes not even talking to him at all because it’s freaking annoying, and HE’S STILL HERE AND MORE ANNOYING THAN EVER. He’s always on some sort of bullcrap like "you’re changing. this isn’t you." Like he knows me better than I know myself? Wtf is up with this kid? Why does he act like this and what should I do? I already blocked him on twitter.
I’m a mean person ? LOL , he gets my tweets and facebook statuses sent to his phone, and he NEVER backs off. People need space. Its not appropriate for him to be all over me all the time. Thank you <3
What are some ways to promote a recently launched business?
I don’t have a business of my own, but I want to work for the marketing sector of one. What should I answer if a question like this comes up in my interview? What would you say?
I know some people would suggest that the business open a Facebook page and twitter account, but how would one attract followers? What are some tactics to promote a business through these venues, and other ways?

Do people use Twitter for the wrong reasons?
Now, I think twitter is necessary and unnecessary towards the public. I don’t have one, don’t plan on using on until I can start doing filmmaking. But, twitter is a GREAT tool to use in self-promoting yourself (like with businesses, art, movies, television, etc.) I think it is a fantastic tool in updating people about things that relate to something that deal with the career you have set in life and want people to feel connected towards the things you do towards your business. Also, can meet new people to expand your self-promotion and meet new people to team up with in maybe having potential colleagues contributing towards your business and such. I honestly think that is the greatest thing about twitter in using it for professional use.
But, I think it is unnecessary when people use it as a tool for personal use to communicate with people. Yes, social media is a way to communicate, but a lot at times it is really unnecessary when you could just sit down and talk to someone. That’s why I don’t have a twitter. I won’t be instantly updating what I’m doing or post things that seem personal or talk about things like "can’t wait until tomorrow" or petty drama and such. I don’t constantly update for things like that, if friends want to know how I am, just call and such. I don’t want to feel like I have to constantly post something every minute, 30 minutes, or hour about something in my life for people to feel in the loop (like the adventures I’m about to go on, plans for tomorrow, etc.). Just feels weird to me. If someone has a problem about something with someone or has drama in life, talk to someone about it or to that person and not post about it on twitter. It’s like no one faces the real problems head on anymore. People say those who use twitter as something personal is vanity. I don’t know, just feel like I am more disconnected than connected nowadays with people who do that.
