I asked my boyfriend, Ant, if he would ever get a MySpace, Facebook or twitter page. He said, "Maybe." A few days later I kept seeing on my timeline "such and such has added Ant as a friend." I asked him why he hasn’t simply mentioned to me that he already had a page. His reply was "because i just got it". I checked his timeline and it was true that he just got the page. My reply was a simple "oh." That is when he told me that his page was strictly business and that he would be putting information about his book on it. He is paying someone to promote his book and to maintain his page. I then said, "I don’t care..I only asked because I thought that you had lied to me about not having a page. As I said, I don’t care as long as the page isn’t being used to disrespect or play me. We can move on from this." His response was "Please don’t start. I have a page, so what?" I friended him and let it go…

A few days later, I received a private message from his page. The message said, "What’s up? This is Ant". Even though I was about 95% sure that his assistant had sent the message, I repelied "Hey babiii! How are you? " . A few days later I received a message from his page that was asking me "are you married?" etc. That is when I thought his assistant was taking the fake messages too far and I texted him to say that I had received a message from his page with the person saying that it was him. Sometime later I got a heated email from Ant asking me what was wrong with me. He wanted to know why I had put his personal business on his page even though he had told me that the page was for business. He told me to stay off of his page and to relax and stay away from b.s. Evidently, he does not view the page at all. He goes off of what the assistant tells him is there. Once he knew that I was ina position to talk, he actualy called me. He explained that I knew the page was for business and that I need to know when to set boundaries. He explained to me that people can take even the smallest amount of information and create gossip and rumors from it. He said that at this point in his life, he is just trying to get some sort of business going for himself and that he doesn’t have the mental energy to deal with gossip and rumors. I told him about the fake messages that I was getting and he said that he’s not really trying to stress over Facebook and that I should know that the messages aren’t from him. He then told his assistant to make sure that I couldn’t get on the page. lol

The only thing that has happened in our past is that when one of his Ex girlfriends found out that I was with him, she told me a bunch of lies about him. I questioned him about some of them and we didn’t talk for a while because of it. Other than that, nothing has happened. This is all so weird because he does have like pictures of himself on the page, along with information about his book and his assistant still posts fake messages.. She likes comments other people as him. I know that the messages are fake because I have been sitting with him when messages from him would pop up on the page lol

ok, so i am starting an errand running business for a part time thing, and i need to advertise, but when i call different places to see if i can drop off information packets, they say no. soooo how do i inform people of the business if no one will allow me to drop off the packets. Im on twitter, facebook, i have a web site, and i advertise on my car. WHATS NEXT? I dont want to give up on my idea but its starting to get a little irretating.

Before judging, please read my entire question.

I am 28 years old and currently living at home with my parents, because of financial burdens- and the fact that I just lost my job. Recently I got offered a new job and am leaving their house in late May.

My mother teaches for a living and my Dad is retired. So basically he’s ALWAYS at home and ALWAYS getting in my business.

I graduated film school with a degree in film and screenwriting, and currently love editing and making comedy videos. I used to show these videos to my late Grandmother, who was my Dad’s mother.

Earlier tonight I was sparking up general conversation with my Mom about pop culture. I mentioned to her that I had read a news article about how an extra from "Glee" twittered the ending to an upcoming episode and got fired. My mother, also being casual, told me: "Be careful about posting things on twitter and facebook, so you don’t get fired in the future." I think she was joking, but my Dad butted in on the conversation as he was coming in the room and said "If it effects your job, you shouldn’t be posting things on facebook that aren’t appropriate. Now listen to your mother and just do as your told."

I was beyond upset! First off, we were talking about a news story I had heard and not my personal conduct. Secondly, who the fuck is this old man to tell me anything?

When my mother left the room, I confronted my father and explained to him that he had misunderstood our conversation, and that I wasn’t posting anything of the sort.

"Sorry If I misunderstood, but your Grandmother used to tell me that some of your videos were offensive to her. You really need to learn how to read your audiences."

"At least I visited my Grandmother- unlike you, her SON- who barely ever called her, and now she’s dead!"

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY FACE!" My Dad was boiling mad now. All of this because of some dumb twitter conversation about Glee I was having. So what’s really going on? Why is my Dad so rude and mean to me about something I haven’t even done yet. I have been living with them for 4 months now, and it just seems like no matter what, he is constantly judging me and telling me what I should be doing- how I OUGHT to handle myself with jobs and bosses. My earlier job didn’t work out, and I quit and was not fired. So where is all this hate from him coming from? My Dad was a successful person, but the field he went into is not one I wish to go into. I’m a filmmaker, and a artist. Why is this happening? At this point, when I leave the house I donnot wish to communicate with him anymore. What a douche. Thoughts?
When I said "lost" my job, I meant I resigned. I count it as a loss because I no longer have income.

I don’t want lectures about how I live at home with my parents or how its their roof, their rules. That’s not the question I am asking. I am ASKING why my Dad was so quick to bring up shit that had nothing to do with what my mother and I were talking about. He just took it into a whole new direction. Either answer accordingly, or shut the hell up.
