Although I always …
Although I always seriously consider the possibilities of many dimensions, one thing I can not get past – What if the 4th dimension really is the last dimension, and that is why we experience it moment-to-moment, as a cross-section of our 4-dimensional selves? What if we are capable of only perceiving 3 dimensions, plus a 3-dimensional point in the 4th dimension, only because there would be nothing else above 4th dimension for us to experience as a continuum, if we were1 dimension higher? [..]
omg a floating head …
omg a floating head he must be from the 11th dimention lol
@ungwigwi The 5th …
@ungwigwi The 5th dimension being called choice? That sounds like a copout to me. Every “choice” would make another universe. There would be infinite universes and everyone making a choice would create even more infinite universes. Even animals and insects would create infinite universes.
This rings wrong.
Quantum mechanics sounds good, but it has flaws. This tells me that quantum mechanics isn’t the final answer. They keep on making up rules to make it fit. To me, that’s bad science.
…a physical …
…a physical picture? lmao we cannot even form a mental image of eternity, but a physical picture?, oh pleaseeee, if we was in the 4th dimension this would mean we are in time looking at time? ermmm yeah in paradise in eternity, but on earth?… noooooo
It’s in the 9001st …
It’s in the 9001st dimension.
@UnderManiac
if …
@UnderManiac
if you dont make a choice are you dead,
even not making a choice is a choice.
once you have not made a choice can you
go back in time and change it to a choice?
My god, what …
My god, what dimension is his head trapped in? Get me out of here!
Absolutely. And we …
Absolutely. And we could say “time” is in the seventh dimension if you’re considering the sixth dimension. It all works.
I like this point …
I like this point about the 3rd dimension being time to the 2nd dimension. I think its quite valid in the sense that you can interpret a plane then and now to be a change along a ‘third/time’ dimension. However, then you would only be considering 2 spacial dimensions so in congruence with what crppypnkrck said it is just a matter of how you denote you spacial and the ‘time’ dimensions. ‘So the third is time for the second’ would only be plausible if considering 2 dimensions. what do you think?
in relativity, …
in relativity, space time is visualized as S=x0-x1-x2-x3, where x0 is relates to time so it could possibly be the first dimension. However, I think its more reasonable to think that people first started using dimensions to describe the first 3 only later coming to the conclusion that time was a dimension. Then instead of rewriting and changing the interpretation it was just taken as the 4th dimension out of convenience.
This is mind …
This is mind boggling.
I have been doing …
I have been doing some research recently on the string theory and this is all coming together nicely… I think we should look into the power that our thoughts have over these other dimensions. I think that if we looked more into the realm of spirit and how positive and negative thoughts manifest themselves physically, we would understand that the control we have over these dimensions. I think this is the beginning of seeing how powerful our mind actually is.
isn’t there like …
isn’t there like 257 known dimensions now?
Well, If you have …
Well, If you have to make the right angels make a dimension shouldent there be more than 10/11 dimension???
or possibly our …
or possibly our universe is like a little piece of sand on a beach in a universe infinte times bigger than ours, and that universe is again only a small piece of sand on the beach of another dimension, those things can go on forever.
Yeah but “choice” …
Yeah but “choice” is still something that isn’t “real”. It is something we humans have invented and thus are these higher dimensions not real(ie. “physical”) because they are based on something human, unreal or not physical.
well i do not know …
well i do not know the mathematics of all of this, but i’m pretty sure the video is calling all the 11 dimensions spacial. time is present in all of these dimensions. and as far as referring to dimensions as 1 2 and 3, you don’t really need to do that. you can call time dimension 1. it’s just easier for some people to grasp the concept when we start at 1 dimension. build up to 2. then 3. then oh yeah, time is also one. just know that we, as humans, notice 3 spacial dimensions and live in time.
Ok y do u stop then …
Ok y do u stop then at the 3rd? What about the 5th dimension and the 6th and so on? Are these timeless?
@crppypnkrck That …
@crppypnkrck That seems to be a very 3D view on the idea. “Time” or the fourth dimension is still a spatial dimension, we only call it “time” because it allows us to change. Without a dimension above us we would just be a three-dimensional picture, unable to move or act.
@ spartin111: our …
@ spartin111: our mass and size get smaller as we approach the speed of light. in fact, at the speed of light, our mass is 0 and we are infinitely small. time also stops at the speed of light. we are a point like this video talks about (more in his other video).
@ iloveponteporn, …
@ iloveponteporn, what are you talking about. we can absolutely adjust the speed at which we travel through time. ride in a car. you’re traveling slower through time than if you were standing still. this is unnoticable though. when you reach speeds near the speed of light, then you begin to travel through time MUCH slower. time is relative. read up on einstein’s theory of relativity.
time incorporates …
time incorporates all 3 dimensions. it’s duration, not spacial. you can have a point now and a point then. a 2d flatlander can walk straight from point A to point B. but it would take time.
that’s philosophy. …
that’s philosophy. like are we even living? sometimes i think about this: what if we’re just a “brain” or a thinking machine that puts the illusion of dimensions inside of us. like we think we have legs, we think we walk forward and to the side, we think we have encounters with other people, we think we grow old, break our leg, go to school, when really it’s just this “machine” that only makes us think of these ideas.
yeah!
yeah!
the 3rd is not time …
the 3rd is not time for the 2nd. the 3rd is spacial and combines with the 1st and 2nd to make 3-D. time incorporates all 3 of these. and gearboy927, time doesn’t have to be the 4th. you can call it the 1st if you want. it’s just one of many.
